Short version Loop 3D Video

Imagine, you have bought a beautiful home in Marbella. It has a superb open plan layout that is bathed in natural light and already has luxury decor… but you are missing that elusive finishing touch. The only way to find exactly what you are looking for is by researching your options before committing to a style or type of decoration or specific piece of art.

This could be a beautiful set of acrylic paintings or a light and bright neon picture. Maybe you have flirted with the idea of a quirky home décor? The point is, you won’t know which will be the best fit for your home until you see each item in situ. This is where the 3D interior design apps come in to their own. You can investigate all options from the comfort of your own home.

All you need is a smartphone

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to be creative or switched on technically to use these apps. There are lots of different options on the market, some are specifically aimed at professional interior designers (such Planner 5D, Live Home 3D etc.) and others can be used easily by the general public via smartphones.

The implementation of 3D technology is a key part of the professional interior designers and also art workshops such as Studio 2, as it allows visitors to the website to scan and then see the artwork in situ in their own home, office, show house or business. Using these apps takes the guesswork out of decorating your space, by allowing you to see what does and doesn’t work when set against your design or colour scheme.

QuAR 3D viewer

Studio 2’s website uses QuAR 3D Viewer’s immersive technology to offer augmented reality experiences to show original paintings in position. This provides added value for both Studio 2 and the visitor.

How it works

The QuAR 3D Viewer is installed on Studio 2’s website on most products and there is no need to download any app to use it. This allows potential clients who are interested in special decorative items to view the items in 3D without leaving the website. They can select and see the items as a 3D projection in their own room, whether this is a home or business. By using the camera on your smartphone, the product can be assessed against your interior design, allowing you to decide whether you prefer the abstract, contemporary or modern painting or whether a cushion or another decorative item has the right dimensions, colour, design or texture to fit your scheme.

Technology behind QuAR 3D Viewer

This technology can be used on any site by installing an Augmented Reality plugin in the backend of the website. Without blinding you with science, this technology pulls together the information from the real world in order to generate ‘experiences’ via your mobile phone in real time.

What can 3D rendering be used for?

The app also gives potential customers who are not located close to an art studio, like Studio 2’s workshop in Puerto Banús, the ability to try before they buy. For example, they may see the perfect painting but find that it doesn’t suit the current colour palette in their home. Now that they have this knowledge, it would be possible to commission the painting in the desired colour to match the interior design more closely. The same applies for the medium, texture, size and the design. In fact, you could commission an entirely original piece of artwork based on your specific tastes, budget and interior space.
